Complete site redesign.
It’s been well over a year since my last mix, anyone who follows me on here won’t be surprised by this. Life happens and you just get caught up in other stuff.
That said, today I found myself with some spare time so decided to revisit my website and make some improvements. Most of this information will be unimportant to anyone, but I am mentioning anyway,
- The site has been migrated from Jekyll to Eleventy. Jekylly is a deprecated technology and I’m constantly getting security warnings on GitHub, so I decided to modernise, with the help of Claude. I didn’t say I had that much spare time!
- The design has been completely overhalled to be more modern, easy to view on any screen size and even function as a PWA (Portable Web App). Basically that means you can install it to your phone and stream the music directly without having to download any files or use a podcast player.
- I have added declarations where I have used generative AI. I understand this may be extremely offputting to some that AI has been used at all, so going forward I am being clear about its uses. You will find a section on each page which lets you know the full details. To be clear though, AI has never been used to select tracks and perform the mix, that’s always been my doing.
- Removal of feedback forms due to inactivity. Noone ever left any feedback so I removed the feature entirely.
Anyway, I do plan on getting a new mix out soon, so watch this space!
